Privacy Policy

Newsletter subscriptions. When you join our mailing list using the signup form on our website, we collect your email address. Your email is stored in our database so we can recognize you as a subscriber and apply your one-time 10% first-purchase benefit. We do not sell or rent your email address.

Contact and inquiry forms. If you use our Contact or Inquire pages, you may provide your name, email address, a subject, and a message. Your message is sent to us by email so we can respond; we keep only what is necessary to reply and to keep a record of our correspondence.

Order information. Purchases are completed on Square’s hosted checkout page. Square collects your payment details and shipping information directly. For fulfillment, we may receive and retain the order identifier, item purchased, transaction amount, recipient name, email address, phone number, and shipping address that Square provides. We do not receive, collect, or store your full card number or card security code.

Subscriber discount. When you subscribe, a one-time 10% discount on your first purchase is linked to your email address. We use your email to confirm eligibility on our servers when you check out; there is no coupon code to enter, and you are never asked to share a code. We record whether the benefit has been used so it applies exactly once.

Automatic information. Like most websites, we collect basic technical information such as the pages you view, the type of device and browser you use, and a generalized location. This is used in aggregate to understand how the shop is used and to improve it.

To deliver the services you request — newsletter delivery, responding to your questions, fulfilling orders, and applying your subscriber benefit.

To operate and improve our shop, including understanding which pieces and pages are popular and fixing problems.

To send you transactional messages related to a purchase or to your subscription. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link provided in our emails or by contacting us; we may still send you messages that are required to complete a transaction you have started.

Our website uses a small set of cookies and browser local storage to provide core features:

Analytics. Google Analytics uses a cookie (such as _ga) and a locally stored identifier to recognize returning visitors and measure traffic. You can manage or delete these through your browser settings.

Wishlist. Items you save to your wishlist are stored in your own browser — not your account — so the feature works without signing in. Clearing your browser storage will clear your wishlist.

Site preferences. A small amount of local storage may be used to remember settings (for example, an analytics identifier) so the site does not need to regenerate them on each visit.

We do not use cookies to build an advertising profile of you across other websites.

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure page views, product views, searches, and checkout activity in aggregate. Google receives this measurement data under its own terms and may use it to provide and improve its analytics services.

We also use Base44’s session-recording and site-analytics tools on eligible public visits to understand how visitors navigate and interact with the storefront, such as page navigation, scrolling, and clicks. We use these recordings to identify usability problems and improve the shopping experience; signed-in administrative visits are excluded from session recording.

If configured, Google Tag Manager may be used to help manage measurement tags. Shop activity is measured only on public, customer-facing pages; private administrative activity is not included in our Google Analytics measurement.

All payments are processed by Square on its own secure, hosted checkout page. Your payment-card information is collected and handled directly by Square under its privacy and security practices — Daunais Vintage never sees or stores your full card number or security code.

After a successful purchase, we retain a record of the order — including the item, amount paid, and fulfillment information Square provides, such as recipient name, email, phone number, and shipping address when available — so we can fulfill, ship, and support your order. Square’s terms govern the payment side of your transaction; we govern the order and fulfillment side.

When you subscribe, we may send you a welcome message confirming your benefit is ready. We may also send you occasional newsletters or notices when you have joined the list. To limit disruption, we rely on our own sending infrastructure and the email service we use to deliver these messages; we do not expose your email to unrelated third parties for their marketing.

Our website and its database are hosted on the Base44 platform, which stores the data described above on our behalf.

We use Google services for analytics, fonts, and website verification, and Square for payment processing.

Our website links to our profiles on social-media platforms such as Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube. Following a link or interacting with our profile on those platforms is subject to that platform’s own terms and privacy policy.

Social-media and marketing publishing, including Pinterest. Our Content Planner may connect to our authenticated business Pinterest account to create and schedule Pins, and to access our own Pins and Boards as necessary for that functionality. This integration operates only on our own business account — it does not give us access to your personal Pinterest account, your followers, or your private Boards, and we do not use your personal information to publish or manage content on Pinterest. Where we add other social-media or marketing integrations in the future, they will likewise operate on our own business accounts; we do not share your personal data with those services for their independent marketing unless you choose to interact with them directly.

Each third-party service is governed by its own privacy policy and terms. We encourage you to review them.

We keep subscriber email addresses for as long as you remain subscribed, and order records for as long as needed to provide our services, meet record-keeping obligations, and handle returns or support. Contact and inquiry messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and maintain a reasonable record of our correspondence.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as described in this policy: with our hosting platform (Base44), our payment processor (Square), analytics (Google), and the email service we use to deliver transactional and newsletter messages, and where we are required to by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us. You can manage cookies and local storage through your browser, and you can clear your wishlist by clearing your browser storage. If you would like to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, contact us using the details below and we will respond in line with applicable law.

Our website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including restricting access to our administrative systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Payment-card data is handled by Square under its own security standards.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
